Sapphirestar padded into her den, yawning, and curled up sleepily in her nest with her tail over her nose. Her observation at the Gathering had taught her much, worrysome as well as peaceable. But one thought hung in her head as she fell asleep, stronger and stronger although tainted with the fading sight of Speckledfeather's loving gaze at Flamestar:
Aslan was back.

Sapphirestar woke up, refreshed and revigored, a sunbeam dancing on the tip of her nose, inviting her to come outside. She purred happily, stretched and padded out of the cave, yawning widely. Settling on a flat rock at the entrance of her den, the flame-colored she-cat closed her eyes and surled her tail over her paws, enjoying the hot sun on her firey pelt and its flaming kiss on her skin.

Willowbreeze padded up to her leader stratching. She dipped her head. "Is there anything I can do Saphirestar" she meowed politely her energy bursting in her body.

Sapphirestar greeted Willowbreeze with a warm nod of the head. "Yes" she mewed, opened an eye, and then the other. "Yes... maybe you could come with me on a hunting patrol?" The flame-colored leader got to her paws promptly and in one powerful leap, she jumped down gracefully from the Highledge and loped to the apprentices' den. She took a peek into the deserted den and snorted, twisting around in a naturally flowing way to lope back to where Willowbreeze was still staring after her. "We shall wait until sunhigh for amberpaw, and then we shall depart" Sapphirestar informed the she-cat.

As Bellpaw entered camp she looked around. She padded faster than Moonclaw over to the front of her leaders den where her leader was sitting "Sapphirestar!" she ran ahead "I h-have b-bad new-s-s...." she said wobboly and stressingly.

Sapphirestar perked her ears up and looked at Bellpaw and Moonclaw, surprised by what the bad news could be. Maybe it had something to do with the tidings heard at the Gathering, but the medicine cat apprentice looked very shaken indeed. "Come in my den, and we shall discuss it" she mewed, signaling to the two medicine cats to follow her. "Willowbreeze, please wait for me at the base of the rocks while we talk" she added before leaping onto the Highledge and padding into her den, where she turned around to face the entrance.

Bellpaw followed her swift leader almost triping. Her and Moonclaw were entereing the den behind Sapphirestar. She sat down in front of Sapphirestar "Well first of all Moonclaw i havent told either I had seen a- a..... bloody tiger...." she said trailing off.

Sapphirestar flicked one of her ears back swiftly. She knew about that already. She didn't know how, but she knew. Maybe a dream... anyway.
"Continue" the flame-pelted she-cat stared at the apprentice expectantly, butthere was gentleness in her stare.

Bellpaw saw that Sapphirestar was not mad at her "I saw it when I was hunting with Amberpaw and then there is the dream I had a at the Medicine cat gathering....." she said. Her nose felt numb again and she smelt the death and blood again. "I saw blood red... and smelt only blood and death....." she said wearily. She would do her best never to let that smell some that close to her again. She would protect her clan.

Sapphirestar nodded. "Are you sure it was a tiger?" she asked calmly. If not, the dream could be interpreted in a taotally different way. "Did the beast do anything in your vision? Did he seem to be fighting something, or was it attacking you?"

Bellpaw thought the memory came back to as if she were acctualy there, the beast walked by on its massive paws its golden fur shining and then she chased it as it faded away. She shook her head throwing the thought away. "Ummm.... well it has a golden pelt with stripes and was about eight times my size...." the thought made her fur tingle as she tried to discribe the mysterous creature "It was dripping blood and left red paw prints.... it was a beast..... I can remember it very clearly..." she said. Alothough she could remember it she would rather not of. "Amberpaw did not see it though.... it scared me... I tried to forget about it until I had my dream tonight I knew it was important." Bellpaw meowed.

Sapphirestar curled her tail over her paws and stayed silent for some time, lost in thought. She looked back at Bellpaw. "A big cat with a golden pelt...paws covered in blood... are you sure about the stripes?" she asked slowly, to get the most precise idea. Stripes would make a huge difference, as it may be a tiger or a lion, depending on it.

Bellpaw got lost in her own thoughts for a moment until Sapphirestar asked her a question. "They might of been cuts or blood. I couldent tell the color." she said in a unsure way.

"No..." the flamepcolored she-cat gasped, in a half-whisper. No... no... it's impossible... she continued in her head. Was that Aslan? He couldn't do such a thing... not the cat she knew... or maybe... maybe he had been attacked.
Sapphirestar hid her trouble quickly enough for Bell not to see. "Moonclaw" she said, turning to the medicine cat. "Did you manadge to interpret it yet?"

Moonclaw walked into camp and followed Bellpaw towards Sapphirestar. He was shocked about what she told her, and just listened until Sapphirestar asked him a question. "No, I haven't been able to yet..." he told her as he worried about his StarClan dream.
