A large fluffy shape wandered into the nursery and lay down. I wonder when my kits will come. She thought absentmindedly, staring off into space. The turkish van queen thought of her days of romance, and it brought her back to a vivid memory. . .
"Come on, my love. Let us frolic 'til dawn!" Soaringflame meowed, coiling his tail around mine. I had smiled, "We're supposed to be hunting, Soaringflame!" We had caressed, and loved all night long, running through the meadow, splashing in the stream, falling asleep in a patch of daisies. "One day we shall leave this locked up place." Soaringflame had said. "We shall run together, off into the horizon. For some the sky is their limit, but we don't have a limit Arrowheart!" How we were oblivious to the rest of the world that night, we were so in love. But that next morning he tried to drag me away with him to the horizon, and I refused.
Tears ran down Arrowheart's cheeks. "How can it be, when two are so in love, that one small idea can tear them apart?" The queen asked quietly. And he seemed so upset when I told him RiverClan was my home, I thought he was following me home, but then when I got to camp. . . he wasn't there. And that was the last I saw of him. She shook the thoughts out of her head. He was gone now. That was it. He was gone now, and that was better for him. His heart had always been wild, untamable. It was better that he was free now. Even if being free meant being free of a lover's heart to carry.

Sitting outside the nursery, a ginger shape rolled over onto his bely and looked at the moving clouds in the sky, his paws at the wrists and in the air. Redmist blinked his stunning green eyes closed for a moment. Feeling serene and tranquil, everything seemed perfect, especially after the badger attack, but Redmist especially knew it would never be perfect, even in light there was darkness lurking about. Opening his eyes, the ginger warrior flicked his tail and tensed his muscles to get up. Sighing, his green eyes blinked and he shifted his weight from paw to paw. A ginger tail flicked, and Redmist let his paws carry him onward, to his surprise toward the nursery.
Ferns parted as Redmist's large body walked through the entrance of the nursery, and he tensed. Arrowheart was sitting in the nursery, on her moss beading, and his heart pumped in his chest almost as if it would burst out of his chest. She was beautiful, her pure white pelt iridescent in the shafts of light piercing the nursery walls. "Hello Arrowheart." Redmist greeted her, his voice close to collapsing as he spoke.

Arrowheart heard as a cat came into the nursery. She shook her tears away and looked up at him. "Redmist!" The queen smiled and flicked her tortishell tail for him to sit down. Her amber eyes smiled warmly at him. If only my heart could learn to love again, I would let Redmist have the key to it. She smiled and purred, her swollen stomach bulged as she sat up and the she-cat winced as a pain shot to her stomach. The last remaining kit after her miscarriage was kicking. Though after settling into a comfortable yet upright position, the queen let a smile grace her features. "Did the Clan manage to drive the badgers out?" Arrowheart asked, for she had not been informed on much the past quarter-moon, and now that she had company she was willing to listen to the news.
((Ugh, crappy post.))

Redmist! Arrowheart's soft voice called, and Redmist swooned over it's graceful tone. Th ginger tom was feeling a mix of emotions, happiness, fear, content. The white queen gestured with her tail for him to sit down next to her. Redmist sat down and nodded his head formally to the white queen. He drew his long ginger tail over his paws neatly and licked his nose revealing a soft pink tongue. "Did the Clan manage to drive the badgers out?" At that he lifted his head and prick his ears, even the word made him snarl. if he ever saw another badger again it would be too soon. "Yes we did, and the Clan is recovering nicely."

Arrowheart smiled at the tom. Yes, he'd be the one. She thought, purring at his report. "Oh, I'm overjoyed. I just hope they stay away from camp." The turkish van eyed her stomach nervously, the pearly white fur on her stomach was matted from how much she tossed and turned during the night. Arrowheart swiped her tongue over it a few times and blushed slightly. If it weren't for the thickness of her snowy pelt she would have turned pink. "So. . . ah. . . how have you been, Redmist?" She asked, her soft amber gaze burning into Redmist's seductive green one. Arrowheart turned her head. No! Not yet. What if he leaves me, too? How can you be so foolish, Arrowheart?! You still hope for *Soaringflame's return and yet you find yourself falling into this mess again?
((*= I changed his name. XD))

Redmist looked down at his paws, it was weird, falling in love with a queen, she would have a kit, and he would have no relation to it, normally it wouldn't work like that. "Oh, I'm overjoyed. I just hope they stay away from camp." The ginger tom looked up, and awkwardly let his gaze wander to the entrance of the nursery. [/size] "Oh... I'm- I'm sure they will." Redmist cleared his throat, his bright green eyes fell down to his paws once again before Arrowheart spoke again, her voice like a running stream. "So. . . ah. . . how have you been, Redmist?" the ginger warrior turned his eyes on her, he felt as if he were falling in her soft amber gaze. Before he could answer, she turned away, and he felt his heart break for a moment before he worked up the courage to speak. "Fine, ... and you?" Redmist answered formally. [/blockquote]

A light breeze blew in, rustling the ferns at the nursery entrance. It flowed like a soft stream through the room, pushing out the old stuffy air and bringing in the new green-leaf scent. It caressed both of the cat's fur, making Arrowheart's long sleek pelt sway like the golden fields near loner territory, and brought her a somewhat melancholy feeling.
Arrowheart had always felt locked up, like she was chained to RiverClan. And she was, by the warrior code. But Soaringflame never was. He never hesitated to bend the bars of the warrior code just enough so he could free himself of their prison. And that is better for him. He deserves to be free. He has to be able to soar like the birds and choose where he lands. He would die of misery if I kept him locked up in my heart forever. The queen thought sadly. She stood up, determined, and let out a breath that she had been instinctively holding. "I'm okay, I guess. I'd be much better if I got out of here and went for a walk. Would you mind escorting me?" The white queen asked, flicking her orange and black ears, her amber eyes looking upon Redmist longingly.

A breeze blew in, and the ginger warrior breathed in the fresh air as he looked at Arrowheart. His ears grew hot with embarrassement, and quickly he twisted them downward, letting his gaze follow them. It felt strange, being wiht this calico queen, she was so beautiful, and gracefull, too. While he was, choppy, inpercice, and imperfect, while Arrowheart was. Redmist forced himself to smile at her, and his teeth showed in the process.
"I'm okay, I guess. I'd be much better if I got out of here and went for a walk. Would you mind escorting me?" The ginger tom pricked his ears strait up, and blinked questionongly at her. "Isn't it bad for you to be moving around?" Redmist asked in a elevating voice.
[Sorry, I'm tired]

Arrowheart smiled back at Redmist. He's so kindly to me. What a sweet tom. The queen thought. She shook her white pelt a little, her tortishell ears swinging back and forth as a bird twittered in the distance. "Not really. I just have to take it nice and slow. Maybe just a small walk." She meowed, amber eyes locking with Redmist's green ones. "I love. . ." She paused. "How the fresh air feels." She finished her sentence, blushing slightly.

"Not really. I just have to take it nice and slow. Maybe just a small walk."
Redmist smiled, she was so outgoing that way, Arrowheart always knew when she was at her limit, too. The ginger tom stood up on all four og his paws, and shook his pelt, as if felt as if it was clinging to his body. "Okay, then Arrowheart." Redmist agreed, he took a pace toward the entreance and a soft breeze touched his whiskers, making them move.
"I love. . ."
Redmist froze, she loved...? the phrase alone made him stiffen with surprise.
"How the fresh air feels."
"Me too." He quickly agreed, with a bit of awkward silence. He stepped outside of the nursery, and took a deep breath of the morning air.

Arrowheart purred. She stepped outside after him and breathed in deeply. The air was hot, and if it weren't for the breeze it would be unbearable. "Thank you for taking me, Redmist." The queen meowed, her eyes smiling to his. "I never would have been able to get out of that pri-" she stopped. Prison alone. She finished in her head. A prison was what Soaringflame thought of RiverClan. She shook it out of her head and looked up awkwardly at the ginger tom. "Nevermind, let's get going." She laughed cheerily and skipped, though gently, towards the camp entrance, making sure Redmist was by her side.
TO: Whatever thread Redmist makes, somewhere in the RC territory. ^_^
((I have to go eat dinner now. Would you make another thread in the RC territory?))

Redmist just nodded to the queen gently, his green eyes shinning with happiness for her. They could finally talk, be outside of the Clan and their duties.
