Cherrysky padded to the lake side, her spotted fur glowing in the afternoon sun. She came down by the lake's edge and sat down, turning her eyes back towards camp. Lunarpaw was comming for another training session. Ever since the badger attack on the patrol, Cherrysky had made sure to double the training sessions. She needed him ready for anything now...exspecially the threat of a badger attack. The spotted warrior self consciously swept her tail over the gash on her spine, as she remembered the attack on the patrol.....

Lunarpaw reported for training with Cherrysky, slightly worried about the badgers. He remember hearing about what had happened, and hoped that it wouldn't happen again. The black apprentice found his mentor sitting down next to the lake side.
"Well, I'm here," he mewed to her, as he padded over. "We might as well start, so what first, Cherrysky?"

Cherrysky's head snapped up as Lunarpaw approached. She let out a small sigh and got to her paws. "I think we should work on your fighting skills right now," She meowed, padding away from the apprentice. She turned around and looked at Lunarpaw with stern eyes. "I want you to practice on me as if I was a badger. We may not have another attack, but its always a good idea to be prepared anyways."

"Well, should I attack you? Or try to get past you, Cherrysky?" he wasn't all that sure exactly what to do, since he hasn't seen a badger, but he was trying to figure out what they looked like. Big. Thats all he knew about them.

Cherrysky coughed slightly to muffle her laugh. "I would hope your going to attack the badger if it comes into our camp," She replied, humor dancing in her green eyes. "Not run away." The spotted warrior shifted her paws on the ground as she thought of the recent attack on the patrol. "A badger's weakness is their size. It takes them longer to move and react, so that can give you the upper paw."

"That's right, Cherrysky." Crystalpool mewed. The sun danced off of her silver pelt, and her black ended ears twitched as she sat down, watching. "They are strong creatures, but foolish in their rage." Crystalpool continued, nodding her head at Cherrysky to continue on. [/sup][/color] |

"Well, I meant run past you as in running past a badger trying to get back to camp," Lunarpaw meowed as he started to stalk around Cherrysky. He then heard Crystalpool saying that badgers are strong, but easily to fool.
He stalked a bit closer to Cherrysky, seeing what her reaction would be.

Crystalpool purred in amusement. The young apprentice was stalking Cherrysky, just as he would to a badger. "Badgers would be bigger than Cherrysky, keep that in mind, Lunarpaw!" The deputy was reminded of herself in Lunarpaw, and with a jolt, she remembered almost this exact situation. She smiled fondly at her memories. [/sup][/color] |

Cherrysky turned sideways and swatted her paw at Lunarpaw, her teeth bared. "Their main focus is to get at you," She meowed, swatting at the apprentice agian. "But if your attacking them, their main focus is going to get away from you as quick and easy as possible." The spotted warrior swatted her paw at Lunarpaw again and lunged at her with snapping jaws.

Lunarpaw dodged the swats, but didn't think that Cherrysky would actually lung at him. Their main focus is to get at you. Lunarpaw bounded back a few paces, so Cherrysky wouldn't snap at him from this far away. He then jumped, trying to jump onto her back.

Cherrysky forcefully stood her ground as the apprentice landed on her back. "Very good!," She praised, sliding the apprentice of her back. She turned around and smiled at him. Landing on their back is a good tactic, but you have to be extreamly careful when doing this. If they decided to roll over on you, the damage could be life threatening."[/b] The spotted warrior shuddered as she remembered her mistake. "If Crystalpool hadn't been there, I would be in StarClan's paws because of that fatal mistake."
Cherrysky padded away from Lunarpaw again and squared her shoulders. "Now I am going to show you something that I just recently figured out from the last patrol," She instructed. "I want you to pay very close attention and tell me exactly what I did afterwards." She waited for him to face her before she started, wanting to make sure he paid extra attention to what she was about to do.

Crystalpool woke from her nap in the sun when she heard her name. She was about to protest when a horrid feeling crept over her. It started from the tips of her ears and swept down her to her toes. She shuddered, and her eyes widened. She couldn't explain it, but she pelted for the leader's den.

Lunarpaw watched as Cherrypaw padded away from him, then sat down. He was then startled by Crystalpool, darting away so quickly. "I wonder what that was about?" The apprentices eyes darted back towards Cherrypaw, even before he could move his head.
"Now I am going to show you something that I just recently figured out from the last patrol. I want you to pay very close attention and tell me exactly what I did afterwards," Cherrypaw told him. He watched her, quietly, and anticipated for what she was about to do.

Cherrysky leaned back on her hind legs and then shot forward towards Lunarpaw, her paws flying across the ground. The spotted warrior waited until she was about a foxs length away from the apprentice before springing straight up into the air. She landed on the other side of Lunarpaw and spun around, nipping him gentally on the leg.
Cherrysky stood back and smiled. "You could also slash with your claws when you spin around, but its better to start with the basics," She added, her green eyes gleaming in the afternoon sun. "Now wh--" Cherrysky broke off as a familar yowl broke out from camp. She turned her head towards camp, her green eyes curious and tinted with fear. "That sounds like a clan meeting being called," She meowed, padding towards the camp quickly. "We'll continue this training later." The spotted warrior's heart thudded unevenly as she padded towards the camp, her pace quickening with every step she took.
Because that clan call wasn't from the leader, it was from Crystalpool.

Lunarpaw was amazed at what Cherrysky did. He was about to speak, but a yowl sounding from camp cut him off. "That sounds like a clan meeting being called. We'll continue this training later," she said and quickly padded away. Lunarpaw followed her to the camp.
