Hey guys!
I had to read a lot of stuff but I finally fixed the your guys powers on the site! Meaning, you can now change the status of someone (ex. Medicine cat, deputy, warrior, apprentice...) You can give them the status when you accept the bios!
But with this comes a lot of responsibility (I sound like an old hag but hear me out). Giving you guys this power means I trust you 100%. I trust you to not accept bios unless they meet the standards, not to demote other members if your mad at them, not to demote me (you will seriously regret doing this by the way if any of you ever have this thought), etc.
~*Accepting Bios*~
Ok many of you seemed a little confused when it comes to accepting a bio, so I'm going to take the time to explain who has the ability to accept bios and how to accept them.
Leaders and Deputies are the only ones allowed to accept bios on this site! Period!
1)When accepting a bio, you need to read through the whole thing. Its a pain yes, but sometimes people try to get away with things stated in the rules. For example, having a cat with weird colors, super powers, etc.
2)Obviously, make sure the bio follows all the rules stated in the rules thread for the site.
3) Appearance, Personality, and History must have a minimum of five lines to be accepted. NOT RP EXAMPLE!!! (will explain this later). And when I say five lines, I mean real five lines or more. They have to be meaningful, not just the person rambling on about stupid things (ex. blah blah blah, I Can't think of anything else to put so I'll just say this until I get enough lines, etc) Just make sure it has context.
4) The rp example explains a lot about the person joining. It could be the shortest rp example ever, but if they use good grammar, word choice, and seem like they know what their doing, then don't give them any grief. Having the longest rp example doesn't mean that its a good one. You have to pay attention to the context of it. There is no length for the rp examples, we just suggest that they try to impress us.
5) Give them some encouragement to be creative. Of coarse not creative where they are breaking the rules, but you know what I mean. To think outside of the box.
6) If the person's bio doesn't meet the required length, give them some ideas on how to make it longer. Rather than saying, "your appearance needs to be a minimum of five lines," say something like, "Your appearance needs to be a minimum of five lines. Try adding things like eye color, fur length, scars, etc." We want to encourage them that we are helpful and we want them to join.
7) When you accept the bio, you have to do a few things:
1. Lock the post.
2. Modify their bio so the code words say **Correct** rather than the actual code words.
3. Move the bio to the Accepted board under the correct Clan (ex. ThunderClan bio goes in the accepted ThunderClan bios)
4. Change the user's status to whatever they applied for (ex. Outsider status to Warrior status)
5. Add the Clan (,Rogue, Loner, or Kittypet) banner to their signature
6. Modify the Global header so the member is added to the clan count (ex. ThunderClan's clan count: 6 --> 7)
Thats basically it guys! Thank you for reading all of this and I hope I can trust you all to make the right decisions
