Stuck In Camp

Bushtail walked out of the nursery where she had been staying ever since she had gotten pregnet. After yawning, she looked around camp. Her eyes met the camp entrance. She felt like running out and hunting or just running around maybe. But the kits in her stomache would prevent her from that. She didn't want them to go away but she wished she could still do her warrior duties. So she sat down, stuck in camp.

Twilightstar peeked her smooth jet-black head out of her den quietly, so not to disturb anybody. Her ice blue gaze darted around the clearing of the ShadowClan camp quickly and she spotted Bushtail. Padding over to the queen, Twilighstar mewed cheerfully, "Hello Bushtail!" It could be any day now that Bushtail had her kits. Seeing that Bushtail looked a bit bored, the leader stepped foward and rested her tail on Bushtail's shoulder breifly. "Sorry you're bored, I'm sure it won't be long now though."

Bushtail saw her leader come over. "Hello." she said kindly to her leader. "Yeah but after that I'll have to be cooped up in the nursery for 6 moons." she said. The queen realized she sounded like a whining apprentice. "Oh well. I won't regret it." she said thinking about Sorrelfur. She missed him. But she quickly let the thought float away in case her leader got any sign of love in her eyes.

Twilightstar sighed with sympathy, "Well, on the bright side, your kits will get quite crazy!" The leader let out a mrrrrow of amusement as she remembered the time she experienced a michevious litter of kits, it was quite a long time ago.

Spottedfire padded over to where her leader and Bushtail were chatting. "Hello there, hows everyone," she mewed politely. "I can tell you want to get out of camp since youve had your kits. Well, once they become apprentices, you will be my first choice for a patrol," she mewed. She looked over at her leader and meowed," Well, at least the badgers are gone, you know?"

Twilightstar's ice blue eyes swerved around the clearing of camp until she saw Spottedfire padding over to her and Bushtail. She had just appointed Spottedfire as deputy of ShadowClan, and so far, Spottedfire was doing a marvelous job. Twilightstar knew that many good things would come out of the she-cat in the many moons she would be deputy, then when Twilightstar passed on, she'd be a great leader. But, Twilightstar didn't want to think about her death just then, she had a long life ahead of her. "Greetings, Spottedfire." Twilightstar mewed in her serious voice, but let a smile spread across her face. "I'm good, and you?" She purred with friendlieness. When Spottedfire mentioned badgers, horrible thoughts spread in the leader's mind. Claws slashing, Rosestar dying, each memory fresh is Twilightstar's mind, she hated it. "Yeah," Twilightstar gulped down vomit, and tried to clear her mind. "Spottedfire, after this, care to go hunting?" Twilightstar asked her deputy.

She looked at her leader with a gaze. She was a great leader, and she hoped that she would be around for many moons."Why yes, I'm really good myself," she meowed. When she mentioned the badgers, she saw horror in her leaders eyes, and decided not to say anything else about it. At the sound of hunting, she got a sparkle of happiness in her eyes, she could tell it was there. "Of course, after the dawn patrol this morning, I haven't eaten a thing." She got up, and waited for her leader to take the lead.

Bushtail smiled, "Hey that'll be something." she said to Twilightstar. She spotted Spottedfire coming to the conversation. Her and her leader talked and she was fine as she gave her tail a groom and then th word that word the horrible word... badgers. Yeah, Bushtail had been there. Yeah, Bushtail had dragged Rosestar's limp body back to camp. Yeah, it was horrifing[/u]. She had paused but then she went back to finish grooming herself. "Wish I could go." she said but sighed it off. "Bring me some fresh-kill I'm starved." she said after them then padded back to the nursery to get some rest.

She saw the horror in Bushtails eyes in the mention of badgers, and told herself never to mention it again. "Well, once your ready to go on a patrol, just ask the medicine cat and see if you can," she mewed to Bushtail. "We will do that." She looked over to Twilightstar, and meowed," Well, you heard the queen, she wants some fresh kill. We better get going, no?"

Solsticeflight padded into the clearing, his black and white pelt covered in brown dust. The medicine cat padded over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a blackbird. Then he silently crept over to the small group of warriors. "Bushtail how do you feel"Solsticeflight said. His teal colored eyes burned with hurt as he saw the fear in his clans eyes. He hated when something happened and there was nothing he nor Starclan could do about it, and to see the clan suffer like this of fear to even step out into the forest pained him deeply. He pushed the prey towards Bushtail and then sniffed her scars gentley.
