Moonclaw walked into the clearing, waiting for Bellpaw. He sat down with his paws tucked under his chest, to relax himself for the training he was about to give her.
He thought about his wounded eye. Hopefully, it won't cause me any problems. Last time it did, it made him not able to see through that eye for almost half a moon. [/size] |

Bellpaw scrunched past to bramble bushes and into the clearing. She dipped her head at her mentor and sat down infront of him. "We have plenty of herbs right now." she said trying to break the silence. Bellpaw didn't like silence it made her feel alone. [/size][/center] |

Moonclaw dipped his head back, and silently agreed with her. "Alright, we are going to do some combat training." He stood up, and braced himself. "See if you can knock me over. But, I'm going to retaliate to anything you do." [/color][/size] |

Bellpaw flinched at his words but stood up. She waited for a second hoping that he thought she just woulden't attack. She sat back down. Bellpaw really hated fighting but knew she would need it sometime. Determind to knock her mentor over and proced with training she stood up quickly and pounced at her mentor with full force. Moonclaw didn't except her to do this. He tried to jump out of the way, but before he could, Bellpaw hit him full force. He tumbled backwards, and they both had rolled for a bit until Moonclaw had gotten on his paws, and bounded away a few feet.
"That was a good trick," he told her. "But, would it work in a real battle? Not just training?" |

Bellpaw tumbled along side her mentor and ended up farther than her mentor had gone. She stood up and shook herself.
When her mentor finally spoke she was about to purr and then the second commant made Bellpaw think. "No it probaly woulden't work in a real battle because my adversary probaly would of attacked already." she sighed. |

Bellpaw was supprised when he tried to crush her so before she could think she rolled over and started scratching at her mentors stomache. She couldent really see, well because she closed her eyes but still even with them open all she could see was her Moonclaws gray fur. She kicked and stuggled underneath his weight. Moonclaw didn't expect her to use her claws, but he just kept falling down. When Bellpaw started to kick and struggle, he jump back off of her, heaving. Boy, I'm out of shape. Need to get on a patrol soon.
Moonclaw then sat up and licked his paw a few times. He then examined his wounds, and decided he needed some cobwebs for them. "Well, I guess that will be all for today," he told Bellpaw. |

Bellpaw stood to her feet when Moonclaw got off her. "I-i'm sorry..." Bellpaw said backing up her tail tucked inbetween her legs. She coulden't belive she had just hurt her mentor like that. It was a natural reaction.... I guess I shoulden't of kept my claws unsheathed. she thought. What will Sapphirest- wait she's on a patrol... Well what will the whole clan think when Moonclaw comes with wounds and I'm fine? she sighed. [/color] |

Moonclaw sighed when he saw her reaction. "Its alright, I've had worse. Just look at my-" he stopped there. He didn't like talking about his eye, and it started to irritate him.
"Tell you what, just keep quiet about this, alright? It won't do any harm if the clan knew about this, but lets just keep it quiet." He sat up, and stretched, hopefully looking forward to a nice rest back at camp. |
