Patrol

Rosestar walked out onto the Shadowclan territory, leading a patrol. She sat and waited for Bushtail to appear. Sadly, they could spare no one else, and the leader halfwondered to herself where her deputy was. This was technically his job. She was trying to think of her meeting with the Starclan cat earlier, but now her thoughts drifted into nothingness.

Bushtail padded after her leader. It was a patrol of two, wich to Bushtail seemed odd but she didn't mention it. Instead she just followed along. She opened her mouth and inhaled the scents around her. "Whats that stench?!" she said in a deep voice. "It smells like.... badger!" she replied.

Rosestar nodded in greeting to Bushtail and smiled. "Anything odd on your way here?" she asked curiously. When the warrior spoke of badger, Rosestar's ears pricked forward, completely alert now. "What? Where?" she growled, scenting the air. She smelled it too. So that was what she had been warned about.

Bushtail stuck her ears up and turned more alert by the way Rosestar reacted. She stepped up closer to Rosestar and opened her mouth to scent for any nearby danger. Great, now I gotta deal with this! Why can't I have peace for once. she said and silently sighed.

Rosestar's eyes narrowed and she crouched low as a badger caught sight of her. "We need to alert camp to keep them protected." she said in a low voice. "Go back to camp and let them know we have badger problems. I can hold them off."

Bushatail started backing away and then she ran forward and leaped onto one of the badgers. She never had really listened to anyone, wich got her in alot of trouble most of the time. But right now she couldent leave her leader alone with a badger, never. She unsheathed her claws and dug into its back, biting its scruff. She let go to take a breath and said "This is Shadowclan territory scum!" it shook its head and knocked Buchtail off with a roll. She flew backwards and landed on her feet digging her claws into the ground so she woulden't slide an farther.

"What are you doing? I told you to go back to camp!" she hissed as Bushtail attacked a badger and got tossed aside. Growling, the small leader jumped at the badger, claws unsheathed. "Never touch my warriors you piece of foxdung." she yowled, blue eyes blazing with fury. Rosestar clawed at the large creature's eyes and jumped off and away, but not in time. As badger blood was spilt, so was hers. The badger had managed to claw her back, and the she-cat was lucky to get away as the badger reared and snapped its powerful jaws at her, getting only the fur from the tip of her tail.

^{Bushtail looked at her leader then back at the badger, the badger was pretty injured, her leader would survive. Even though Bushtail was told for the second time she didn't obey, a normal readtion for her. She jumped at the badger as hissed claws unsheathed. Clawing at its face she was flung off by a force tha the badger she was attacking certainly couldent of blown. The warrior flew and hit a tree on her back. She fell down on the floor and scrunched her eyes, it unbelievably hurt. She stuggled onto her feet and opened her eyes. Not another badger! she thought and yowled into the forest asking for help. They were closer to the Thunderclan border so she hoped a patrol might hear her.}

Ears pricked up as spits and hisses came from the other side of the border. Sorrelfur stood on his Clan's side of the border. He was a ThunderClan Warrior. He had been on a patrol alone when he heard the noises not far from the border in ShadowClan Territory. Must be a loner or rouge or something... hope it doesn't come into ThunderClan... Suddenly his eyes widened as he heard the noise of what animal the ShadowClan warriors were attacking. Bagder. Sorrelfur knew he shouldn't of left ThunderClan terriotry, but he had to help the ShadowClan warriors. He scented them near by and the bagder scent was strong. Suddenly he appreared in the clearing, the bagder there with it's eyes claws and blood dripping from the wounds. Rosestar, ShadowClan Leader, stood across from it with a scratch down her back and part of the fur on her tail missing. The warrior she was with had just been slammed against a tree and was slowly getting up. Another bagder appeared and Sorrelfur took off, hissing and spitting at the creature. He sprang at the new bagder, his claws unsheathed and his fangs showing brightly in the light as he landed on the bagder, claws raking it's back a lot. He jumped back as he saw the claws swipe just near his maw, then he lept at the badger's neck and gave him a harmful bite that would leave a scar of some sort when suddenly he felt claws raking his shoulder twice and claws raking his back once from the other badger. Great StarClan! Help!! Scarlet fluid rolled down his back as he realesed and went to stand by the ShadowClan Leader's side and near the warrior too. His blood dripped and he staggered a bit as he stood, still snarling at the creature. His fur bristling with anger. He felt his energy draining and seemed to notice the surprise with the ShadowClanners when he had appeared. His shoulder ached badly as blood seeped from his fur. His back with claw marks down it stinging madly and al his instincts told him to run before he was more harmed, but he made himself stay to help ShadowClan.

((Well, you guys said you wanted help in Bushtail's post so... Sorrelfur to the rescue!! xD If you didn't want me to join in I can delete the post. It wasn't hard to write. Also I'm on my other account.))

Bushtail stood up and shook some blood off of her ragged fur then opened her eyes blinking a bit. She noticed a cat a silver, nonshadowclan cat and was about to pounce then she remembered she had sent a distress call. Instead she cleared her vision by blinking a few times and then looked at the cat, something about him was different, she didn't feel the need to pounce on him even though his scent was fowl and he was from another clan, no she felt something else that ran a shiver down her spine. Starign at the cat she lost track of time and then shook her head Focus Bushtail, focus. she looked away and then pounced on the closest badger, landing on its side and knocking it down. When it tried to stand back up she jumped and and growled. She got into another pounching position and then jump. Landing on its back she bit the scruff struggling to hold on.

Sorrelfur saw the she-cat arise and pounce on the bagder, as she struggled to hold on Sorrelfur sprinted forward and pounced, only to land on the back leg. He bit down hard into the fur until he felt salty fluid hit his mouth. He jumped off before the bagder could attack, when suddenly the other bagder scratched him on the back. He turned and felt his blood come down his back as it stung him on the other cut he had gotten there as well. He leapt at the bagder's face and grabbed hold of it's nose. He felt himself fall off, but felt a lot of fur in his maw. He wasn't sure what just happened, but he knew the bagder ran away without laying a scratch of Sorrelfur. He stood and blinked, feeling winded and hurt.

The last badger was about to pounce on the Thunderclan cat and she surley would have let it but today she felt generous. She pounced on the badger with all her force and made it fall back, hitting a tree. A small wimper escaped it's jaw before it ran off like a kit screaming for its mother. When she was sure it left she walked over to the Thunderclan tom and helped lift him up. Once he was on his feet she could tell he was wounded. "Go back to your camo and I shall go back to mine." she said a small bit of growl in her voice. Padding over to her leader she stuck her muzzle under her and lifted her onto her back. She didn't have time to worry about herself right now, her leader felt dead. The warrior sped back to camp carefully dodging misplaced logs and making sure her leader didn't fall.
