Hunting [join me please?]

A small siamese cat slunk through the pine forest with a light purr. She hadn't been out of camp since the gathering, and it felt nice to get out and stretch her paws. The leader known as Rosestar padded around slowly, scenting out prey. Finally, her senses picked up on a mouse. She glanced around carefully, trying to spot her next catch. Thankfully, she was a patient cat, and waited witho a sound until she saw the leaves move under the plump mouse's paws. Slowly, she crouched low and scurried forward, stopping when the mouse stopped. This continued for some time, until she was a tail-length away from it. She pounced, biting into the mouse's neck and purred louder as the taste flowed into her mouth. Rosestar stopped herself though, since she had planned on taking it back to camp.

Sadeyes had been waiting for her leader to catch the mouse so she could talk to Rosestar. She watched Rosestar catch the mouse then walked to her. "Rosestar... I have news from starclan..."She paused, waiting for her leader to reply.

Rosestar looked up from her catch as Sadeyes walked over to her. Sitting down, she nodded in greeting to the medicine cat and tilted her head slightly as she talked. "Hello Sadeyes. What have you heard? Nothing too bad hopefully." she said as she waited for the news.

[sadeyes]

Sadeyes sat and took a deep breath... "I do not understand it. The others had worse dreams... one of the apprentices couldn't stop shivering." She said, carefully. "In the dream there was no odd smells and everything was peaceful at the lake, until I looked at the moon..." She paused to remember what she saw. "There were huge, blood red, eyes staring at me. Then a loud and horrid roar floated throught the forest... and that is where i woke up..." She waited for her leader to help.

The small leader's ice blue eyes shimmered with worry. Still, she kept her calm and tried to think out the situation. "That sounds horrifying. I'm not uite sure what that could possibly mean...an attack? Something evil, if there were blood red eyes I think." She sighed. "Should I try to talk to Starclan about this?" she asked, more talking to herself than to Sadeyes.

[sadeyes]

Sadeye's awkward eyes were fearful. "I'm not sure what to think... I'd like to ask starclan too, but i'm not sure if i should." she paused. "I think the red eyes are evil, and the roar could be a monster or dog..." she thought out loud.

[wolfeh]

Rosestar nodded. "Yeah, probably a monster or a dog." she agreed. "I'll try to talk to Starclan when I go back to camp to try and get a bit more insight on it. If I do, I shall let you know. For the moment, I don't think there is much we can do, except watch for any potential threats."

[sadeyes]

"Yes... thank you for your help." Sadeyes said to her leader. She was hungery and tired from her trip. She wanted to get something to eat as soon she got in the area, but she decided that getting feedback from her leader was more important than food or sleep. She waited for her leader to tell some instructions or she would walk back when Rosestar was ready.

Rosestar nodded before nudging her caught prey to Sadeyes. "Eat; you look hungry." she said with a small smile. She found another mouse and chased after it without waiting, killing it quickly before shrugging. "Should I tell Talonscar, or should I wait until we know more?" she asked the medicine cat.

[sadeyes]

"Ummm. I'm not sure. I think we should wait for more information." She said taking the mouse. "Thank you. I am famished"

[wolfeh]

Rosestar nodded, eyes clouded in thought. "No problem. I'm going to go back to camp to think. I'll be in my den if you need me. Keep this between us until we know more, like you said. Thank you for tellign me abou this." With that, she padded swiftly back to her den to think.

Sadeyes finished eating her mouse that she was VERY grateful for, then she went to her den.
