Winterhazel slowly padded into the quite den. She went to the very back of the den to be alone. Shadows wrapped themselves tightly around the deputy and refused to release their deathly grip. She curled herself into a safe ball and pulled her tail round her. With a deep sigh, she closed her eyes. Sleep didn't come easy for Winterhazel and she finally open her eyes up once again. Her past slowly rolled before her eyes, she remembered the day when she was only a small kit and an intruder entered her cave. The shadows consumed her then as they did right then. She gasped at the thought of seeing her mother on the icy cold ground once more. She tried with all her strength to erase that terrible image but it was stuck, frozen in time. Winterhazel shuddered at the thought of leaving her mother's side again, leaving her there to gasp her finial breath, leaving her there to die alone in the darkness. Winterhazel shook her head trying to knock all the thoughts filled emotions out of her head but they remained, clinging to old memories in the corners of her mind.

Ashleaf yawned, waking up from an afternoon nap. "Hello Willowbreeze." he greeted and stood up. Another yawn. Then he shook himself to get rid of the rest of the moss scraps. He looked down at his clearly uncomfortable deputy. "Winterhazel?" he asked curiously and prodded her.

Winterhazel lifted her head to greet the two oncoming warriors. She was a bit disturbed by their arrival but their company was nice none the less. "Oh nothing, I am fine really." She smiled meekly to reassure her answer and struggled to sit up a bit straighter. With a long yawn she meowed, "Just tired is all." Winterhazel lied a tab bit, but it could never hurt anyone. She kept her plastered on grin for moments later until it slipped off. Embarrassed, Winterhazel glanced away from them curious eyes and stared blankly at the ground in front of her. The den was still dark and suffocating, not in a warm and snuggly way that it should. It was as if she was choking on her thoughts and the feelings of the cave consumed her. Maybe next time it would be her that gasped her last single breath of air on the frozen cave bottom this time...

(bell what do we do) Willowbreeze examined Winterhazel well. She knew that there was something bothering her but she didn't mention it so dhe doens't bother the deputy. Instead, she turned to Ashleaf, "Want to do anything" she asked simply. She was bored and she wasn't tired so she wanted to go out.

Ashleaf looked at Willowbreeze. "Hunting?" he asked. Prey should be more plentiful now that New-Leaf was on its way. He turned his gaze back to Winterhazel and nodded "You may want to get some more sleep." he said and walked pout of the warriors den.

Willowbreeze nodded curtly at the black warrior approving of his choice to hunt. She stretched and yawned. "See you later" she called to the deputy as she slowly followed Ashleaf. She stopped beside him turning her head to lick her pelt softly. "Where do you want to go" she asked him. To: gathering
