Out of Breath

Dreamstar purred happily. "You seem to be carrying on just fine," She commented, smiling down at the kits. "I'll take my leave then." The grey she-cat stood and nodded to the WindClan medicine cat. "I will talk to you again when the time comes," She noted, her sapphire eyes resting on Speckledfeather's. Then, as quickly as she had came, the grey she-cat vanished from where she stood.

Silkheart let out an amused purr. "I'll go get something from the fresh kill pile. Hopefully there is something there. I'll get something myself." Silkheart stood up, trying not to bother Speckledfeather, and exited the den. She found her way over to the fresh kill pile and picked up a rabbit for herself and a vole for Speckledfeather. She then found her way back to the medicine cats den. She went and placed the vole in front of Speckledfeather and laid down back where she was before. She placed the rabbit down and said, "There you go." Silkheart took a big bite out of the rabbit.

[Featherleaf]

Featherpaw trotted along the WindClan territory. She lightly shook her fur to rid herself of any excess water. She enjoyed swimming. Though she figured any RiverClan cat would. She finally reached the camp. She nodded her head in greeting to the gazes that met her entrance. Though some gave her glares, Featherpaw ignored them and went straight on to the den. She parted lichen that acted like a curtain to where Speckledfeather lay. As she came in, she realized that Silkheart was still there. She had brought Speckledfeather food, even though she still couldn't see. It's ok. You may rest now Silkheart. I can handle everything from here. She gave the deputy a warm smile. Speckledfeather, is there anything you like me to do? She asked in a soft, quiet tone, not wanting to frighten the kits or their mother.

Silkheart sensed Featherpaw. "Hello Featherpaw." She took the last bite of her rabbit and nodded to Featherpaw. Silkheart was relieved. Now she could rest, or try to. She laid her head on Speckledfeathers back.

((Is it possible, that Lunerkit is blind, and becomes meddie cat apprentice? Yea, kinda like Jaypaw. Will the kits know who their mother is?))

Speckledfeather wanted to call out to the retreating frame of the heavenly leader, but swallowed her cries. It would look idiotic, pathetic, and that was certainly not how she wanted to look at the moment. Swallowing heavily, she grinned at Silkheart. "You're a life saver, actually. Did you know that?" Purring, she gulped down the vole, not remembering the last time she had eaten anything. Then, the rank smell of wet cat reached her nostrils, and purred as Featherpaw came in. "Thank you, Featherpaw, but there's nothing now. I just need to rest." Leaning back, she closed her eyes, and fell asleep on her deputy. She was too tired - she could fall asleep on the Thunderpath if she had to!</sup>

Silkheart purred and closed her eyes, trying to go to sleep.

[Flamestar]

Flamestar woke up from his long and dreamless sleep. He looked at Silkheart ''How are your eyes'' he asked, he was worried though he didn't want to bother her if she was trying to sleep.

Silkheart lifted her head a little. "My eyes are not any better. Are you ok?" Silkheart let out a sigh. How long was it going to take for her to see again?

^{"That's funny, Silkheart. Your eyes should be fine in a few minutes." The silver tabby mused, raising her head. "Good morning, Flamestar." Speckledfeather played the 'cool' card, acting like nothing big had happened. Sure, she broke pretty much every rule of being a medicine cat, but that was between her and Dreamstar. She nuzzled Lunarkit and Solarkit quietly, not looking into the blue eyes that were behind her. Twisting her head around, she started to groom Silkheart's paw, just as if they were sharing tongues normally. There was only a badger attack recently, and her kits. No reason to not remove that last bit of blood, clean that last wound. She was still a Medicine Cat, although a mother to boot.}

Silkheart felt joy run through her vains. Her eyes were going to be better soon. Silkheart blinked ehr eyes a couple of times and she could see foggyness. She blinked them a couple more times and everything was getting clearer. Silkheart kept blinking for a minute or two. She opened her eyes and everything was crystal clear. "I can see." Silkheart meowed. She was so happy but she did not want to disturb anybody. Silkheart looked down at the kits. "They are beautiful." Silkheart licked Speckledfeather on the head and said, "Thank you so much." She laid her head down in the medicine cat and started going to sleep.

(( Since I really can't post anything at the moment, how about Lunerkit is blind in one eye? That could be a punishment from StarClan, but not to bad, since Dream was being all nice and calm in eariler posts. Sound okay?))

Flamestar chuckeld softly at Speckledfeather's ''play cool'' thing. He turned then to his deputy ''It's good that your eyes are going to heal soon, your clan needs you, you are their deputy'' he meowed happily then layed down and closed his eyes listnening to the outdoor sounds... He sighed.

[Lightpaw]

A ginger-cream cat trotted quietly into the Medicine Cat's den, excitement buzzing around her head. The news of kits travelled fast in the Clan, and although she did not know who's they were, nor did she care, Lightpaw wanted to see them.
"Hello Speckledfeather, Silkheart, Flamestar" Lightpaw bowed her head respectfully to each in turn, keeping her voice soft so as not to startle the kits.

Silkheart watched Lightpaw enter the den. "Hello Lightpaw." She looked down at the kits. They were so cute. She remembered when she was that small. Now she was deputy. What a long way she had gone. She thought about what Speckledfeather's kits were going to live through.
