Thrashing like a tiger, roaring like a lion. A young warrior tore through the weeds, stepping on grasshoppers and whatnot. You've returned? "Yes father, you spoke to me, minutes ago" replied Whitedawn, dipping his head in approval. What do you speak of my son? I haven't spoke to you in almost eight moons, since my death Whitedawn froze with fear? What? This was all a lie? When his father went crazy last moon, that was all just his IMAGINATION? No. Whitedawn saw him. Whitedawn met him. Whitedawn fought him. "But dad, no, I spoke with you about a moon ago" insisted Whitedawn with a silent hiss. What? No. "Yes dad! And you just told me to leave! You told me to leave Lullabykit! You told me to leave Sunstream! You told me to leave RiverClan. Whitedawn, I'm dead, "NO YOU'RE NOT!" he yowled, flailing in the air, "I'm talking to you RIGHT now!" he shrieked wildly. No, Whitedawn. I'm you're imagination. "What?" he growled in complete rage, hissing and yowling like a rogue. "Dad you're lying!" he said quickly, "I'm speaking to you!" he raged on. But no response. "Dad" Nothing. "Hauntwing?" asked Whitedawn, saying his real name. Still, nothing at all. "DAD! Don't leave me! No dad! Don't go! Don't! Don't! Dad! Father! Hauntwing!" He tripped to the ground, laying there, motionless. "And when you need me most, I'll be gone"

"Whitedawn! You better get back here!" she screamed into the forest. She'd lost his scent again. I'm such a wonderful tracker. she thought sarcastically. Continuing on she screamed again "WHITEDAWN!" then she broke down in tears. Maybe he had left, and it was her fault. She lied down and sobbed, "Where are you?" she whispered before closing her eyes, "Come back." [/blockquote]

"WHITEDAWN!" A large shape rose from the marsh. Shaking the image of his father from his mind. He rose. He stood. But he stood, on his own. Not with the help of his mother at his side when he was small. Or the ghost of his father stuck in his mind. He was one now, alone, just himself. He stood, and walked. Paw after paw. He leapt onto a large rock, and gazed down. Then he saw her. He saw the only other cat he needed to help him stand. She was laying down. "Sunstream.." he mouthed, tiny wisps of cold air came from his maw. "Don't worry" he meowed quietly, "I'm here." he insisted, still in a silent whisper, "Don't cry" murmured in the cold. Why do we dream when are thoughts mean nothing? Whitedawn lay down, next to Sunstream and waited. He would wait. As long as he had to, A week. A moon. A century. A eternity..

Sunstream continued to cry into the grass. Then she heard him and felt him next to her. Turning her head to see if it was really him she realized that he had stayed. "Whitedawn!" she said in a croaky voice. She put her head on his back and purred, sniffling a bit. "I thought you'd left me." she whispered quietly. He was back, and she was with him. That was all that mattered right now. [/blockquote]

The wind brushed throughout the trees, the bright sun set along the forest. The many species of trees speckled along the line of the marsh as far as the eye could see. It was getting colder. He closed his eyes, and let out a silent sniffle. He finally gazed toward her and opened his eyes. They were open. By himself. Without the thought of his father in his head. "No, Sunstream, I'll never leave you"

It was so quiet that you could hear the wind whistle as it rolled along RiverClan territory. The ginger tabby closed her eyes. "No, Sunstream, I'll never leave you." she smiled and replied. "I know. I know that now." The lake swallowed the sun as time passed. It was getting late. So Sunstream lifted up her head and said. "Lets go back to camp, after all you owe an apoligy to Lullabykit." she purred. Fianlly peace had come and the tabby warrior knew Whitedawn did like her, as much as she liked him.

"Oh Lullabykit!" screeched Whitedawn with shock, he had totally forgotten about the kitten. "I hope she isn't angry with me," he meowed steadly, streaching his paws and standing. "Darn darn darn darn darn" he muttered as he started to walk towards the river, and towards camp.
