Lightpaw woke up and lazily turned onto her back. Spotting a fern frond's tip dipping into the den entrance, she reached out as far as she could and caught it with a claw. She pulled it in as far as it would go, catching the frond's limb with her other outstretched paw and pulled hard, stretching all the muscles in her body with the effort; then she everything go and the frond slapped the ceiling of the den before whipping back into place, shaking, in front of the entrance. She purred with satisfaction and relaxed on her back, front paws curled in the air and tucked on her chest and her long tail flicking slightly at the tip.

Whamp! It had been a peaceful morning... but for once, Brackenpaw was going to stir things up a bit. That's what had inspired him to startle Lightpaw.
The large, tabby apprentice had two paws on opposite sides of the ginger apprentice's chest, his mischievous grin stretched across his face. He had planned to pounce on her chest, but after the badger attack... well, he didn't want to be too rough. "Hiya Light," He purred, laughing slightly. Putting his nose on hers, Bracken froze there and let out another playful growl. "Whatcha doing?"
[no muse for him... sorry]

By the time Lightpaw would have jumped in surprise, she was pinned down between two strong legs and two mesmerizing eyes. "Wfsth?! she asked, choking on her own saliva; she closed her eyes, growled, and opened them when a slightly cold nose brushed hers. Regaining some control over her, she raised a paw and pushed Brakenpaw's nose away from hers, shaking her head to clear her mind from the brief daze. Smiling, she said: "Good morning, sunshine," and, raising her back legs, she flung Brakenpaw off, just hard enough to make him tumble beside her. She curled back onto her belly and into a defensive ball, still too dazed to lead an attack.
[we're all kind of muse-less... Although I'm getting an idea that one of them should trip the other with the swipe of a paw... Dunno where that's coming from xD]

The large tabby tom laughed as he was pushed aside onto the floor. "Good morning to you too." He replied, rolling onto his side to face her again. She was laying on her side too, but her back to him. With a small growl of irritation, he pawed at her pelt. "What's up? Tooo sudden?" Brackenpaw laughed again and got to his paws. Usually, Lightpaw was more active then this... well, sorta. Again, another laugh rumbled in his chest; this time at his thoughts. "Should I warn you next time I appear out of no where?" He joked, moving around her so he could see the ginger apprentice's face. He tilted his head slightly, a big, stupid grin on his face.
[You're probably right... I have more muse for him on W;FC. But I think that's because his mate and him are in that awkward stage, lol.]

[haha, touché!]
Lightpaw felt the touch of the paw and took the cue. She swapped at Brakenpaw's legs with surprising quickness, her paw barely a blur, then leapt, her long legs pushing her off the ground and, in a heartbeat, she was pinning him down like he had pinned her just a few moments before, only with more strength - she wasn't afraid of scraing him out of his skin. She kept her nose a claw-length from his. "I heard you a mile off," she growled playfully.

Without realizing what had happened, Bracken was on his back pinned to the ground. It didn't really startle him- the tabby tom knew she was going to do something to get back at him. "I heard you a mile off." He laughed at this one, shaking his head slightly. She-cats!... no, Lightpaw! She thought she knew everything sometimes. Although some may have found it irritating, Brackenpaw found it very amusing. A nice trait to have. She had confidence and spunk- he liked that.
With a gleam in his emerald eyes, he effortlessly sat up into a sitting position. The ginger she-cat hardly weighed anything! Brackenpaw leaned forward and put his jaw to the she-cat's ear. "Did it ever occur to you, Light, that I wasn't trying to be quiet?" He whispered, knowing that his breath in her ear would make Lightpaw's fur crawl. All for a reaction. The thought was true enough; half of the things he did were meant to get a reaction from her...

Lightpaw kept her front paws steady on Brakenpaw's chest, even though he had sat up, just to protect her very slightly wounded pride. S'not my fault I'm built like the stringy cats of the Old Clans. She snorted at his lame attempt, softly batting his nose with a paw before lowering herself. "Did it ever occur to you, Light, that I wasn't trying to be quiet?" "Hmpf," she said, playfully scornful. "Nice try, big guy."

A slight warm feeling in his chest made Bracken smile. It felt nice to know that she thought of him as the big guy. Maybe it was just because she was so little and called everyone big guy, but it still felt nice for some reason. Made him feel a little important. "As long as I'm the big guy, I'm good with that." He joked, pulling his face to give her a smug grin.
Now he was getting restless with small talk. The large tabby didn't want to stay in one place for long right now- he just didn't feel like he could. Today was a day that he wanted to be running around WindClan, or getting into stuff. Something other then sitting here. Brackenpaw let out a small sigh and got to his paws, feeling edgy. "Did you want to do anything?" He suddenly asked, turning his emerald gaze to Lightpaw. He paused for a moment and thought, his mind sifting over things to do. "Anything really." He finally added. "Go explore somewhere, or go see if there's a patrol we could join, or.. well, something other then sitting here."

"Weeell..." Lightpaw said, her paws itching to be off, "We could go and check out the ThunderClan boearder. There's usually some fish in the river-boundary." The ginger-cream she-cat had never even seen a RiverClanner fish, but she knew she could if she tried. "Let's go!" she meowed, trotting out of the den and picking up speed until she was bounding trhough the camp entrance, her long legs effortlessly swallowing the ground beneath her.

He thought about the possibilities. Two cats and a river full of fish... This is defiantly going to be interesting. Bracken laughed quietly and shook his head. He wanted something to do, right? This was his chance. "Alright then," He said. But by the time he had said it, Lightpaw had already bounded out of the den, starting to hit full speed. His emerald eyes flew open as he scrambled to his paws and shot out of the den, his long tail streaming behind him. "Wait for me!" He yelped, trying to catch up with the ginger-cream apprentice.
