A small kit laid on his back in the nursery, a silver paw absentmindedly swatting at a stray branch that had fallen out of place. There was nothing to do!!! He wanted to go out and explore the ShadowClan territory, to feel his paws thud against the ground and wind whipped past his whiskers. Sigh. Ever since his last expedition, Bushtail had been keeping a close eye on him, making sure that he wouldn't be going out of camp any time soon.
Sigh...
Ashkit rolled over onto his side, his back facing the nursery entrance. It wasn't his fault things were so incredibly boring in camp...Someone had to spice things up every now and then! And it wasn't like he was going to go cause trouble in another clan's territory (although he had always wondered what RiverClan looked like...), he was just going to explore ShadowClan. But of coarse fun is strictly prohibited here... He thought, his face twisting into a scowl. He hated being confined into the nursery...it wasn't like he was going to sleep! He chuckled once without humor. They wish...

The savory scents of mouse were sucked into Nettlekit's nose as she took a deep breath, taking in the scent of the remains of the fresh-kill she had just eaten, she the sound of moss crunching caught her attention. Nettlekit's ear twitched toward the nursery, and her torso swung suddenly to face the thick den. Was some one in there? She had been outside, getting some fresh-kill for the morning, none of her litter-mates were there when she left, and Bushtail was outside the camp. There's a first. A sly smile crept up on her face, and the dark tabby kit bounded forward with short, stiff movements. "Ha!" She yowled as she launched herself through the brambles of the nursery and onto a blue-gray mass of fur. Nettlekit attempted to land on her brother, aiming with an outstretched forepaw to cuff his ear. Hard. [/blockquote][/color]

Ashkit heard his sister's approach, but only had enough time to prepare himself for the impact. He rolled onto his side and kicked out with his hind legs, aiming to deflect Nettlekit's pounce. His sapphire eyes still held a tint of boredness, but not the same as they had before. At least he had something to do now...something other then sit here all day. Being stuck in camp stinks. The thought sent a whole new wave of irritation down his pelt. It wasn't his fault ShadowClan didn't have anything fun to do! Why should he suffer because some other naive kit's mistakes? Who ever made the rule should have just punished the one kit... Then things wouldn't be so boring...

Nettlekit's smile turned into a frown as Ashkit dodged her attempt at a play-fight and did not try to attack back as he might. She let out a small scoff of irritation at her brothers bored-like manner. As she landed, Nettlekit twisted to face her brother, a full-blown scowl on her face. "Your no fun!" She accused as she sat down in front of him. He's too ... Ugh!

Ashkit's sapphire eyes flashed his sister an apologetic look as he sat up. "I'm sorry Nettle," He sighed, his gaze drifting out of the nursery. Although her attempts did make him feel a little bit better, he was still upset with the fact that he was stuck in camp. "I'm still upset with the whole camp deal..." Of coarse this was something she probably knew already, but the silver kit felt the need to say it anyways. It was just so irritating to be confined within these camp walls! How could anyone do this so...so effortlessly?! It had only been three days and already he was losing his mischievous touch; his playful spark that made him who he was! He needed to get out of here....

Nettlekit was giving her brother a hard stare, even despite the apologetic look that he was giving her, it didn't pierce her irritation. 'I'm sorry Nettlekit,' The brown tabby kitten scoffed, and flicked her tail to Ashkit's cheek as she walked back to find some moss. 'I'm still upset with the whole camp deal...' Nettlekit stopped poking her nose through piles of moss and whipped around to charge back to her gray brother. "When are you ever going to let that go?!" She practically shreached. It wasn't even that big a deal, being confinded to camp, he seemed to have ristricted himself to the nursery because of that devistating fact. "We'll be apprentices in like, two moons. And you can always go the the camp entrance to .. play, I guess." Sneaking out of camp is always an option. Nettlekit gave herself a small chuckle as she looked to the ground and absently padded over to collect her moss into a tight ball.
"Now c'mon! Let's play!" She ordered in a playful tone. Nettlekit hooked one claw onto the moss ball and flung it at her brother. He better catch it. She growled in her mind. It would be no fun if he let it has him by, just like an opportunity, she thought, and it dropped to the ground like the dead moss that it was. Ugh. Was her response to that thought. Why did he have to be so depressing? Ut made her much less energetic, which made her depressed because she had no energy to play! Suddenly, she wondered where Nightkit and Silverkit where, probably doing what she wished she were now. Nettlekit sighed as she watched her brother intently with her dark green eyes.

Ashkit sat there for a moment before letting out a small sigh. He knew she was right...she was usually right when he got into these kinds of moods. Of coarse he had his reasons for being such a sulker....but she was usually right none the less. Giving his sister his impish grin, the silver kit hooked the moss ball with his claw and flung at her with as much speed as he could possibly put into it. Nettle was right about sulking; he could have just asked her to go on an adventure with him when Bushtail let her guard down. The thought sent a small tingle down his spine as he remembered his last adventure. He had gotten a chance to talk to Snakepaw then....and the apprentice had actually cracked a smile. He wondered what his sister thought of the usually dark apprentice. Probably creeps her out, He thought, figuring the obvious. Not many cats liked the apprentice....and as far as Ashkit knew, he never talked to anyone other then when someone asked him something.

Nettlekit snickered in response to her brothers grin, a soft, amused chuckle. She dropped into a crouch lower then her previous one, and prepared to catch the moss ball with the swift swipe of an extended claw. Instead, she clumsily fell over with one paw outstretched, and the ball landed on her back, disintegrating into scrapes. "Aw, mouse-dung!" She hissed, attempting to get to her paws, but instead slipping on more moss scattered across of wet nursery floor. "Some help?" She growled at Ashkit.

Nightkit's small legs kicked in all directions as she felt the badgers hot breath burning the back of her beck. She ran on faster and faster, kicking her hindlegs. Her small legs seemed to fail on her as she fell to the ground. The badger lunged ontop of her.
Nightkit woke with a jolt. Her fur was sticking up in all directions as she sat up on her haunches. She stared around the nursery from her small nest. As her eyes got used to the darkness she could just make out her brother and sister. Nettlekit had a sharp look on her face and Ashkit looked almost the same. Nightkit padded over to the two kit's. They were both slight bigger than her but, that was only because Nightkit was the runt of the litter, the baby. She stepped in between them.

With a small sigh, Ashkit padded over to where his sister laid sprawled in a tangle of unmoving moss. It was amusing the things his sister could do when she was provoked."And I thought you were clumsy before," He snickered, swishing the bits of moss away with his tail in one fluid movement. "Get you all fired up and then see what happens! Now there's something to see." The gray kit moved away from his sister again, knowing the response he would get for that comment. Nettlekit knew she wasn't the most graceful kit ever....but she also had a very short fuse. Easily provoked... It was nice on days like this- when all Ashkit wanted to do was sulk.
The sound of another familiar voice made the kit's sapphire eyes flicker to the left. "Hey Nightkit," He replied, the same warm tone he had always used with Nightkit flooding into his voice. Despite how right he thought he was about his sister's opinions, it was hard for Ashkit to stay mad at her for very long. It just wasn't who he was.
The gray kit flicked his tail at Nettlekit as he turned to Nightkit, signaling that he wanted to wait before they continued. His mind, right now, was focused on something in his little sister's expression. "You ok?," He asked, his sapphire eyes staring at Nightkit's fur. As pointless as it was for her to lie to him, Ashkit couldn't know if this was something she would want to talk about now. Perhaps later...When Nettlekit is gone. It was always a mystery when it came to Nightkit. Sometimes, He amended in his mind.

Nettlekit put on a mock smile as Ashkit swept away the moss with his tail, the smile turned into a scowl as he continued on with what he was saying. 'Get you all fired up and then see what happens! Now there's something to see.' The gray kit backed up, the smile returned. Yeah, you better back up! "The same thing could happen to any kit." Well, it wouldn't happen to a warrior, would it? Falling on moss, not able to get up. Not possible. Nettlekit rolled her brown-speckled eyes then froze as another scent reached her nostriles.
Ugh, Nightkit. Nightkit was the smallest out of the four kits born, and the most boring. Nettlekit tried to stear clear of her sister, no matter who's feelings she was hurting. Nightkit was almost like a rock anyway, she didn't show much emotion, which made it easier for Nettlekit to taunt her. Ashkit on the other hand looked out for his sister, which was annoying as Nettlekit wanted the best of his attention.
Ashkit flicked his tail in Nettlekit, signaling for her to stay where she was, and walked over to Nightkit. 'You ok?,' He asked her. Nettlekit just rolled her green eyes again and padded to the back of the nursery in serch of more moss. "Come on, Ashkit. Let's play again." The brown tabby kitten called, muzzle stuffed with fresh moss.
