Snakepaw poked his head out of the apprentice's den, scanned the clearing with his soft yet piercing blue gaze, and trotted nonchalantly to the shadows at the other side of the clearing, barely pausing to pick up a small mouse from the fresh-kill pile. He settle in the shadows of the rising morning, awaiting the sun to peek over the edge of the trees. The camp seemed empty, apart from two or three warriors in the far area. A dull silence hung over the camp.

From::Exploring::
Ashkit stalked back into camp, his silver ears layed flat against the back of his head. He had never yelled at anyone in his family before...but for her to think like that! He muttered something unintelligible under his breath and veered off to his thinking place. Without pausing to steady himself, Ashkit launched himself up into the pine tree near the entrance of the camp, his sapphire eyes still angry as he climbed.
And he continued to climb until he found the branch he was looking for. Surrounded by pine needles so no one could see him. It was his favorite place to get away from everything. The pine needles never poked him because they were spaced out far enough and they also kept others from seeing where he was. The silver kit curled up on the thick, flat-like branch and put his head down on his paws, letting out a heavy sigh. He didn't want to talk to anyone, especially Nightkit or his mother. Right now, all he wanted to do was be invisible and watch the pine forest move with the Green Leaf winds.

Nightkit burst into camp her small white chest panting with echxation. Her nose twitched as it detected Ashkit's angry scent. She slowly followed it to the pine tree that she usually found his scent going o. She looked into the tree, but nothing was visible, nothing but a blurry green and brown. "I know your up there and I want bother you, but I-I am sorry for what I said,"Nightkit hiised. Then she sloly trotted over to a small hole that she had dug. It was a small burrow, big enough for her to fit down. She padded down the tunnel and emerged into a small like cave. She layed down on her mossy nest and sighed.

Snakepaw had watched the whole scene with mild interest. None of the kits had seen him in the shade of the trees, although he was very visible. He gnawed absent-mindedly at his piece of fresh-kill, gazing with curiosity at where the black-pelted kit had disappeared.

Ashkit paid no attention to his sister as she ran into the nursery, his sapphire eyes still scoping out the ShadowClan territory. He didn't want to here an apology, he wanted her to stop acting the way she was. The silver kit growled half heartedly, still irritated but getting more relaxed as he sat in silence. He turned his head and looked around the camp, careful to avoid the nursery. Nothing was really going on in the camp that sparked his interest. Sighing, he turned back to the ShadowClan territory, staring absentmindedly out across the lake to the mountains.

Bushtail padded into camp. Clearly she was stressed with her ragged fur and the bags under her eyes. "Ashkit! Down from the tree, now." She said nonchalontly but seriously on her way to the nursery. "Nightkit you come to." TO:: We need to talk.

Snakepaw watched his mentor's coming with mild curiosity. He lips curled very slightly into the hint of a smile. Poor kits... it seems that they'll be quarelled by their mom... He sighed. There was absolutely nothing to do... the night-black apprentice took another few bites of his mouse. If something didn't happen soon, he'd be forced to hunt by himself. Bushtail didn't seem ready to come training any time soon...

Ashkit growled as his mother came back into camp, yelling at him to get into the nursery. Probably trying to straighten me out... Not going to happen. The silver kit glared at where his mother dissapeared in the nursery, wishing she would stay out of things she knew nothing about. There was no way he was about to go into the nursery when he was in the right.
Ashkit raised his head slyly, making sure his mother dissapeared into the nursery completely. Then slowly, making sure not to draw to much attention to himself, Ashkit made his way over to the branch just outside of the camp, the branch in between his mother's gaze and his escape. Now that he was covered, the silver kit crawled down the side of the pine tree, using the lower branches to his advantage. He leaped from the lowest branch to the ground, landing on the ground with a soft thud. Ashkit turned to make sure no one noticed, his sapphire eyes irritated. When he was sure no one noticed, he quietly padded away from the camp, still irritated but happy to get away from camp by himself.

But the silver kit, in his hurry, had forgotten to check at the closest end of camp, under the shade of the sister trees of which he had been climbing. Snakepaw, his disdainous attention being drawn, narrowed his eyes as, instead of following his mother, the silver kit disappeared from his hiding place, where Snakepaw had caught a glimpse of his fur. He had counted upon a good quarrel to get out of his boredom... Snakepaw raised both his ears, in time to catch the soft thud of a landing body. An idea passed through his twisted mind, like a bolt of refreshing lightning. Why wouldn't he follow the kit? Maybe he'd lead him to some unknown spy, or another treaturous thing... Nah. He'll just go hunting. Oh, bother, and anything to get out of this wretched boredom...
The night-black tom threw away the remains of his mouse, got up and trotted silently out of camp. Hunting it would be.
