Second Gathering

[Snakepaw]

A dark figure slinked into the clearing unnoticed and came to sit silently in front of the crowd, as far as possible from the ThunderClan apprentice, Bellpaw. His eyes flashed red as he caught the scents of the RiverClan and ThunderClan cats, and his black pelt bristled briefly before he forced himself to seem friendly. No need to declare hostilities now, he reminded himself.

Twilightstar noticed that Flamestar had not come onto the rock yet. She impatiently shuffled her paws on the hard rock. Looking upon the crowd again, Twilightstar saw Snakepaw below her, who looked like he was trying to act friendly.

[Flamestar]

Flamestar quickly jumped on the rock and and waited for another leader to start the gathering. He nodded quickly at Twilightstar seeing her impatience.

Willowbreeze sighed while looking at Ashleaf. Did he love her too? Embarrassed at the loving way she looked at him with she turned and looked for another cat she could talk to hoping that he would call her back.

[Snakepaw]

Snakepaw looked up to his leader and met the unwavering gaze. He instantly calmed down, and forgot about the contempt that cats from other Clans inspired him. He was a strong, gifted ShadowClan apprentice; he had nothing to think of the other cats. Twilightstar reminded him of the strength and pride of his Clan; and from that moment, Snakepaw decided to look as friendly and dignified as the other cats.

He swallowed his disdain and advanced to Bellpaw's side, a friendly smile on his face.
"Hello, my name is Snakepaw. May I sit beside you?" he asked in his very own charming way. There was no trace of his earlier hostility; in fact, he was very friendly now, and ready to socialize.

[Amberpaw]

A black and white figure stumbled beside the tree bridge on the opposite side of the island, her legs shaking and her vision blurring. The apprentice reached up to jump onto the bridge but slipped and collapsed back down on the ground. She let out a coughing wheezing sound and closed her amber eyes, pain shocking through her body. "Bellpaw..." She mumbled, her voice hoarse from the run. "Anyone..."The gash in her side screamed in pain as it started seeping blood again. "Help me..."

[Lightpaw]

I pray that I'll find Speckledfeather there... Lightpaw dashed across the moorland as fast as her cheetah-like legs could carry her. She leapt over a stream, raced through the tall grass and past dark marshland. Assembling the last onces of strength left in her muscles, Lightpaw sprang onto the tree bridge and sped across it, barely aware of the height and slipperiness of the trunk.

At last the apprentice burst into the clearing, yowling at the top of her lungs. She fell to the ground, exhausted, but forced herself up. She threw a desperate look around the clearing and almost fell oncemore in desperation as she noticed Speckledfeather's missing pelt.
With the last of her strength, Lightpaw decided to ask for the help of another Clan.

"Badger... attack! Deputy... badly hurt..." she panted, close to panic. "Is there any medicine cat here!" she yowled out, hoping against hope that there was.

Bellpaw was just about to walk back to the gathering but then she heard something. "Amberpaw!" she sqeaked and ran back tworeds the entrance to the island. She saw her friend at the other end and started to run across the log. Bellpaw felt one of her paws slip and she quickly got her balance back. Then she slowly padded across her heart beating three times faster than before.

Once she reached the other end she bent down next to her friend. "Amberpaw!" she said and gave her friend a rapid lick in between her ears. Then she realized the black and white apprentice was badly injured. Thinking quick the Medicine Cat Apprentice ran through the trees, knowing there had to be some cobwebs around here. Scaning the crearing she had entered the silver tabby spotted the silver reflection of the moon shining on a cobweb. She collected them quickly and ran back to the island. Sitting back down next to Amberpaw she gently put the cobwebs on her wounds.

[Amberpaw]

"Owww..." Amberpaw complained, squinting her closed eyes as pressure began to be applied to her wounds. "Quit it..." The apprentice paused for a moment and took in a deep breath through her nose. She let out a small sigh of relief as she noticed her friend's warm scent. She made it out too.. The apprentice thought, half her worries gone. "Hey Bellpaw..." She commented gratefully.

Amberpaw tried to turn her head towards her friend, but failed miserably as she felt a wave of unconsciousness hang over her."Oww....I'm really dizzy..." She whinnied, letting out an irritated sigh.

<sup>Chaos flew about the near-drowned medicine cat's eyes. She leapt into action, only stumbling slightly. "Bellpaw!" she yowled, having no apprentice of her own. "Put some more cobwebs on Amberpaw, and grab some poppy seeds! I noticed some by the log on my way over!" she ran faster than Lightpaw, to reach the apprentice. "Where?" she asked. "Ashleaf! I'll need your help!" she called, waiting for the frightened apprentice to point the way.

Crystalpool was only faintly irritated. Sure, she wouldn't be able to start the Gathering quite yet, but after this commotion was settled, the news could be delivered.</sup>

Twilightstar noticed Snakepaw looking more confident, she smiled at the apprentice, he meant no harm. At least I don't think so. She was proud to have such a strong apprentice in ShadowClan, and was excited to make him a Warrior. She was glad the charming apprentice was going to try to warm up to cats of other Clans. Twilightstar returned her attention to the leaders.

Twilightstar look away from Flamestar, who had jumped onto the Greatrock and nodded to her, slightly embarressed, she didn't mean to be so impatient with the WindClan leader. She wondered why injured cats were coming left and right. She was getting impatient, and by the looks of it, so was Crystalpool. Twilightstar wanted the Gathering to just be over with so she and her clan mates could go home. "What's up with all this?" Twilightstar half-hissed to Sapphirestar.

[Amberpaw]

"Someone needs to tell Sapphirestar," Amberpaw wheezed meekly. She felt like she was drifting in and out of consciousness as she laid there while Bellpaw applied more cobwebs. The apprentice shook her head slightly and opened her eyes, despite her body's urge to just keep them closed and sleep. "I could go back and help them," She prompted, feeling bad that she wouldn't be able to join in the fight.

[Flamestar]

(uhh im already in that patrol with the badgers so yeah?)
Flamestar heard Twilightstar's hiss to Sapphirestar. Yeah so many injured cats. he hoped Speckledfeather was okay though seeing that Lightpaw was searching for her in the crowd and did not find her. So many problems, especially with the badgers...

Bellpaw followed orders and applied more cobwebs before saying "Amberpaw you will stay right here until I come back." she said slightly firm wich was unlike herself. And it was unlike she felt. "Just wait, please." she said and smiled at her friend before she ran off to get some poppy. There they were, right where Speckledfeather had told her. She carefuly bit the stem and ran back to the group.
Ashleaf smiled at Williowbreeze softly. As she started to leave he said "Wait Wi-" he was cut off as Speckledfeather called him. Sighing, he padded over. "What do I need to do?" he asked suprised at the hurt cats.

Twilightstar realized that the Gathering had been going on way too long, the moon was getting lower and lower in the sky. "This Gathering has been going on way too long," Twilightstar called across the clearing with authority, "We must end this until another time, take your injured cats home." This last comment was pointed towards Sapphirestar and Flamestar. "Until next time." Twilightstar mewed to her fellow leaders, flashing a grin. She jumped off of the Greatrock and with a flick of her tail, signaled to ShadowClan it was time to go.

^{Crystalstar grunted her agreement. "RiverClan, we must return to camp as well, the few of us that are here." the last part was mewed half to herself. The silver leader leapt off of the tree gracefully, and flicked her ears. Crystalstar would have to discover the mystery of where the patrol was when she returned.

^{At the leaders' calls, Speckledfeather nodded. "I need you to take our injured back to camp. Mainly Lightpaw. I'll go and find Silkheart." She mewed over her shoulder. The lithe Medicine Cat bounded off, racing against time perhaps.
