Panicking slightly as the reality of Dreamstar's words sunk in, Crystalstar's silver optics met the eretheral sapphires Dreamstar sported, and she shook her head, chuckling nervously. That's not true... StarClan is all-powerful. They can solve everything! Trembling slightly as the words crashed around her, she flapped her ears, straightening out. "I'm sorry, Dreamstar. I just don't understand... we'll have to start this another day, I think." Concern flickered in her eyes as her flanks heaved, energy coursing through her mightily. Every vein carried fighting spirit to her heart, and the lynx was more than ready to fight. And win, over all. Badgers would no longer terrorize her Clan!
Flicking her tufted ears, she nodded, preparing herself for the journey back to her Clan. "Once again, thank you. I hope that we won't meet like this for quite some time." She mewed, not rudely, but so that her point was clear. I don't want to leave my Clan leaderless and terrified. "And I shall, Dreamstar." She had no intention of not guiding her Clan well, it was what she strived to do, and attempted to do every day. But in times of crisis she was stripped down to a mere cat, favored by StarClan, and the weight of many cats looking to her for guidance crushing her. She could only hope to perform her duties, to be worthy of holding the position in her Clan.
Eyes at first widened with fear, but closed, relaxed, trusted. Prepared for the water to rush around her, surround her, press her in. When it didn't, she opened her eyes, and felt the ground beneath her body once more. Rising, she trod purposely right towards a badger who was approaching the Nursery. Sparing the massive, dumb brute the luxury of her words, she rose up onto two paws, and with a horrific snarl that rippled through the clearing, reaching the heart of every invader and defender alike, it rekindled the desire to defend in RiverClan, and ripped away the courage of the badgers. Raking her claws paw by paw across the head of the brute, it roared, stumbling back, and swiped at her, a blow that would've taken off her head if the leader wasn't nimble. Landing back on her paws, she spun around before the badger could recover from it's swipe, and kicked the badger square in the stomach with her back legs, the pair pressed together and claws extended for a two-in-one damage, and dragged them up. One for winding, one for scratching.
