Shadepaw padded silently out of the apprentices' and stretched some. He padded over to the fresh-kill pile, where he sat and pretended like he was trying to find some prey that he could eat as he waited for Stormpaw. Try to look normal. Don't look like you're waiting for Stormpaw, he told himself in his mind. He felt his tail-tip start to twitch nervously as the sky grew darker and the evening patrol left through the camp entrance.

Stormpaw padded out of the apprentices' den slowly and saw Shadepaw by the freshkill pile. She twitched her tail nervously, the took a deep breathe and walked over to Shadepaw. "Hey, Shadepaw." She meowed sweetly and confidently. This is going to be the best night ever, Stormpaw thought. I just know it.

His eyes lit up when he saw Stormpaw pad out of the apprentices' den. 'Hi, Shadepaw.' Her voice was as sweet as honey. He straightened up. "Hi, Stormpaw," he purred. Then he glanced around him to make sure there were no cats around. When he saw there were none other than himself and Stormpaw, he whispered, "Ready to go?" His tail-tip twitched nervously again as he waited for Stormpaw's answer, but his eyes were bright and his usual smile had returned.

Stormpaw smiled when Shadepaw had purred her name. He looks happy that i made it, Stormpaw thought. She looked around the area to make sure no other cat was in hearing distance. She looked back at Shadepaw and nodded at him. "I'm ready if you are." She whispered back to him. Her tail twitched from both nervousness and excitement.

Shadepaw nodded. "We have to be quick; any cat could appear before we make it out of camp." He stood and bounded over to a spot near-by and turned to face Stormpaw for a second, then turned back around and disappeared into the shadows of the undergrowth. When he reached the other side, he crouched down to wait for his companion to reach the spot where he was.

Stormpaw nodded quickly. "We'll have to be quick." She watched the spot were Shadepaw had sneaked out at and looked around to make sure no other cat was around. Never seen this exit before, Stormpaw thought. She dashed through the undergrowth and ran smack into Shadepaw who was sitting on the other side. "Sorry!" She meowed quickly. Then she back off and looked away. Her ears went flat and her tail flicked from side to side in embarrassment. I cannot believe I just did that, I am so careless!

Shadepaw went cross-eyed for a second then shook his head. He purred in amusement. "That's ok, Stormpaw. I should've known better than to sit here." He drew his tongue quickly over Stormpaw's shoulder then stood up. He turned around and silently padded over to a spot by the stream. The spot was hidden by some thick brush and a tree, but there was a clearing big enough for the two apprentices. The ground was covered with smooth pebbles, and the water was sparkling with the night stars. He sat down near the edge of the water, leaving enough room for Stormpaw to do the same.

Stormpaw was happy that Shadepaw had thought nothing of her running into him. I'll have to be more careful on where I'm running from now on, she thought. She blushed when Shadepaw drew his tongue of her shoulder. Stormpaw watched him go over and sit by the water's edge. She looked at Shadepaw then at silverpelt. "It's a beautiful night. Thanks for inviting me to come on this walk." She meowed shyly. She placed the tip of her tail on the tip of his and smiled at him, trying to hide her embarrassment.

Shadepaw blushed slightly when Stormpaw laid her tail over his but he smiled. "I used to come here before.. before Crystalstar changed." He looked up at silverpelt. "I wonder if the reason Crystalstar's changed is because of Cherrysky being driven out of RiverClan," he meowed, more to himself than Stormpaw. When he noticed he had said that out loud, he laughed embarressingly and smiled. "Sorry.." he appologized. Idiot! he cursed himself in his mind.

Stormpaw laughed slightly. Probably meant to say that to himself, she thought. "It's fine. Maybe Crystalstar has changed for that reason." She smiled at him. "StarClan only knows why she has become something very different then who she once was." She meowed. Stormpaw didn't really like talking about Crystalstar on a night like this. But she didn't mind because she was with Shadepaw, and nobody was watching her like a piece of prey. Why do I feel this way? What is it, because I've never felt anything like it before. Stormpaw shivered slightly, but tried to make it so Shadepaw didn't notice it.

Shadepaw purred some, glad that Stormpaw hadn't thought much of him saying that out loud, then he turned back to gaze at the water. "You know Stormpaw, I'm glad that I got enough courage to ask you to come with me tonight," he meowed. His eyes reflected the stars on the water. He curled part of his tail with hers and blushed some, but smiled all the same.

Stormpaw blushed when Shadepaw said he was glad her had the courage to ask her. She blushed even more when he curled his tail over hers. She curled her tail around his, too. "I'm glad you asked me too, Shadepaw." Stormpaw smiled at him then looked at the water and could see his eyes in the reflection of the water. They were glowing more then the stars of silverpelt. This is going to be a night I'll never forget, she promised herself. Ever.

((Sorry about the inactiveness! D= Marching band's been consuming my time so much! I'm gonna try and become active again.))
Shadepaw rubbed his muzzle up against Stormpaw's cheek, a soft purr in his throat. His eyes were mere slits as he did this. Then he glanced up at the sky, noticing a few streaks of gray beginning to sliced through the black sky. "We might want to head back to camp.. It'll be dawn soon." He stood and padded to the edge of the clearing, and waited for Stormpaw to join him.

Stormpaw nodded at Shadepaw. "It is getting pretty late. Should we sneak in near the nursery, then make it look as if we were spending time with the kits?" She meowed as a suggestion. It's not a great idea, but it's better then nothing. She thought. Stormpaw padded next to Shadepaw waiting for him to take the lead back to camp.
(occ: just got back from camp, sorry about the bad post, no muse. ><)

"Brilliant idea," he purred encouragingly. "But let's make it like we fell asleep outside the nursery by accident because we were so exhausted." He edited her plan some, but not by much. He pushed his way through the bracken and stopped just inside the camp boundaries next to the nursery. He quickly gave his pelt a wash to rid it of any scent that might give them away, then instructed Stormpaw to do the same when she joined him.
Shadepaw then layed down and curled up in a ball. Truly exhausted, he instantly fell asleep with the milky scent of the nursery in his nose. The rise and fall of his chest became even as his breathing slowed down.
