Plot Patrol (WindClan Warriors!)

[Brackenpaw]

With the last thread of energy left in him, Brackenpaw flung himself on top of the badger. His head was spinning and his vision started to tunnel, but his will and his loyalty to WindClan held him on the badger. The badger backed away and started to shake furiously, trying to dislodge the cat on it's back. He knew that this was it. He couldn't hold on any longer.

As the badger reared up on it's hind legs, Brackenpaw let out one last cry and lashed his claws out towards the badger's face as he fell to the ground. The badger let out a cry as the cat's claws tore between it's eyes, making hot blood pour down it's face. It looked to the cats on the ground and let out a angry roar. Then, like a gift from StarClan, the last badger fled from the scene.

Brackenpaw laid at the ground where he had fallen, his breath coming in short gasps and his body limp. At least I did something worth while... He thought, a smile creeping to his matted face. A tear slid down the apprentice's cheek as his vision started to black out. After that, the apprentice laid still, unconscious from the pain and exhaustion of the battle.

[not dead....seriously injured...may not wake up for a couple of days...will need to be carried back to camp]

[Silkheart<3]

Silkheart watched in horror as Brackenpaw attacked the last badger. "StarClan, help us all. We need you." Silkheart closed her eyes and put her head to the ground, covering her face with her bleeding paws. She heard Brackenpaw meow and looked up. He was unconscious on the ground. Suddenly, her eyes were growing foggy. Blood was dripping from the top of her heaad. "Brackenpaw, Flamestar. Are you there? What happened. Where are you!" Noticing she couldn't see because of the blood, she was worried. What if more badgers are coming.

^{Racing as if her life depended on it, Speckledfeather pelted across the land, long grey fur plastered back with the wind. Her legs ran so quickly they were a blur. With a hiss of defiance, she leapt onto another small badger, come to pick of the scavenges. "Not while I'm here!" She yowled, extending her claws mid-leap. When she landed on the badger, she flipped around to avoid his claws, clawing it over the eyes. She couldn't let any more get to her friends! When that badger had retreated, Speckledfeather looked around. "Silkheart, Flamestar, Brackenpaw, are you all okay?" Answering her own question, she picked Brackenpaw up, and swished her long tail under her deputy's nose. "Silkheart, follow my voice, okay? We'll head back to camp this way." The silver medicine cat's hear froze, Flamestar was hurt. Flamestar, come on. Lean on me." She said, desperate.}

Silkheart heard Speckledfeather talking to her. "Silkheart, follow my voice, okay? We'll head back to camp this way." Silkheart looked in the direction that the sound was coming from. "Speckledfeather, I will try but Lightpaw said that my paw is broken. I have tried to stand up but I just fall back down again." Silkheart stood up, trying to keep balance on her three good feet. She started limping towards Speckledfeather's scent. "I wont be able to go as fast as you. I can keep my balance though."

What if it didn't work? What if Slikheart held everyone up so much that others would die from lack of care?}

[Flamestar]

Flamestar staggered back. The badger hadn't hit me. He leaned gratefully on Speckledfeather shoulder. ''The gathering was canceled'' he meowed weakly. He licked the medicine cat<s ear softly. ''Thank you'' he murmured. And then he collapsed. The throbbing pain in his shoulder was the only thing he felt as he became weaker and weaker.

Silkheart looked at the cats in front of her. "Speckledfeather, you should go on ahead of me. I can wait. They can't. Go help Brackenpaw and Flamestar. I'll be ok." Silkheart looked at the medicine cat. She looked overwhelmed. Silkheart sat down under a tree. She let out a sigh from exhaustion and pain. "I'll wait right here til somebody has the time to come get me."

<sup>Struggling with the decision to leave her deputy alone, Speckledfeather wished more than ever that she had an apprentice. "As soon as these two are in my den, I'll come and get you." She vowed, leading her other two charges off.

Not too much time passed before the out of breath tabby came back, racing across the moorlands. "Come on now." she mewed, supporting her deputy with her own skinny body.

Flamestar got up and leaned heavily on Speckledfeather. He hoped Brackenpaw and Silkheart were ok.
